Finishes for Hardwood

Surface

Surface finishes are durable, water-resistant, and require minimal maintenance. To clean these floors, use the manufacturer's recommended cleaning products or a generic hardwood floor cleaner.  

We recommend that you avoid using wax-based cleaners on surface finishes, as well as petroleum-based cleaners on water-based finishes. Following these guidelines will help maintain the integrity and appearance of your surface-finished hardwood floors. 

Wax

Wax finishes provide a low-gloss satin sheen and are generally maintained with additional thin applications of wax. For cleaning and maintenance, use only solvent-based waxes, buffing pastes, or cleaning liquids made specifically for wax-finished wood floors.  

Regularly applying these products will help preserve the beautiful sheen and durability of your wax-finished floors.
